Oranges

Oranges are high in vitamin C, which is beneficial for immunity, acts as an essential antioxidant in the body, and lowers the risk for chronic illnesses.

Spaghetti Squash

Spaghetti squash is a winter vegetable rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.  The squash boasts a higher source of the B-complex group of vitamins like folates, niacin, and vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine) than pumpkins. It is also a modest source of minerals like zinc, copper, calcium, and phosphorus. It is a low-calorie but rich source of dietary fiber that contributes to the creamy texture of this smoothie.

Choose Cinnamon, Nutmeg, or Cardamon

All spices help fight inflammation in the body and taste great in most smoothies.

Turmeric

Containing curcumin - its anti-inflammatory property - helps ease symptoms caused by many diseases, like headaches and joint aches, and even helps with allergies, pain, fatigue, mood, and cognitive function.

Pepper

NutriTip: When consuming turmeric, pair it with black pepper. Black pepper contains piperine, which helps boost turmeric’s absorption from the digestive system into the bloodstream. Healthy dietary fat can also increase your body’s absorption of curcumin.

 Cod Liver Oil

The oil is rich in vitamin A, vitamin D, and omega-3 fatty acids. It also helps to absorb fat-soluble vitamins.
